Hi there! My name is Lady, and I am a 6-year-old, 55-pound Labrador Retriever mix with a gentle personality and a heart of gold. My rescue dog journey began in Houston, Texas, where the city animal shelter picked me up as a very scared stray. Bless my lucky stars when, on the day of my euthanasia, a very nice lady in Guilford, Connecticut, saved my life and had a transport bring me to her house so she could foster me and find me a forever home. These days, I am doing great and have blossomed beautifully, no longer scared, and I am enjoying life! I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, happy, and ready to meet you!

My foster mom says I’m a sweetheart, great with people and other dogs, gentle with children and babies, and my favorite activity is going for long, peaceful walks. I am wonderful on a leash, non-reactive to people or dogs who pass us by, as I sniff the leaves and feel the breeze, enjoying the world around me and being beside my people/person. I am very sweet and love attention, and when my foster mom kisses my forehead, I do a “happy dance,” prancing so joyously. It’s the cutest thing! I have a medium-low energy level but still have fun with a bit of running/playing with a doggy friend. I love soft toys, cheese chews, and cozy dog beds. I am housebroken and quiet, and I’m good when left at home alone. Overall, I’m easy to love, easy to live with, and everyone says I’m lovely!
