Cowboy - German Shepherd Dog and Terrier Dog for Adoption in Fairfield, Connecticut

Hello everyone! My name is Cowboy, and I'm a gorgeous red German Shepherd mix, about 11 months old, weighing 35 lbs, and I am super lucky to be alive! I was a stray dog in Port Lavaca, Texas, which was really bad news since the only local animal shelter euthanizes everyone. Bless my lucky stars when 4 Little Paws Rescue stepped in just in the nick of time to save all of us! 28 dogs and puppies' lives were spared and sent to foster homes in and around San Antonio to get ready for adoption instead. What a relief! I am now vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to live an amazing life as someone's forever dog!

Not only am I a looker, sporting a beautiful, thick, medium-length red coat and soulful amber eyes, but I am also a sweetheart. A bit shy at first when meeting new people, but otherwise friendly, and I'm great with other dogs. My foster mom says I am a very cooperative boy and will give a bark when I want her attention, but am not a random barker. I'm affectionate and love being pet and scratched, and I enjoy playing in a big bucket of water... but maybe a swimming pool would be better! I'm good on a leash and enjoy being noticed. More than anything, I'm grateful for a second chance at a wonderful life with a family who loves me! Inquire about me today.
