Meet Iris, a beautiful young girl with soulful brown eyes, a gorgeous brindle-and-black coat, and a whole lot of life ahead of her.

At only 10 months old and about 40 pounds, Iris is still just a youngster. She hasn’t had the kind of beginning every puppy deserves, but we’re hoping the next chapter of her life will be completely different. Iris is looking for someone who will show her what it means to be part of a family—to have a soft bed, regular meals, walks, toys, affection, and a person she can finally call her own.

Iris is a sweet girl who enjoys attention and is still discovering all the wonderful things that come with being loved and cared for. Because her previous living situation wasn’t a traditional home environment, we don’t know whether she is fully housebroken, and her new family should be prepared to patiently help her learn the routines of indoor family life. At her young age, she has plenty of time to learn.

Our rescue is working to make sure Iris receives the vaccinations, deworming, and veterinary care she needs as she prepares for her forever home.

What Iris needs most isn’t anything complicated. She needs a chance. A patient person, a safe home, and someone willing to look at those beautiful eyes and say, “You’re coming home with me.”
