Ruby Tuesday - Hound Dog for Adoption in Andover, Massachusetts

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Ruby Tuesday, a 5-year-old Hound mix, weighing 50 pounds (as of 9/7/26). Little miss Ruby was found in her Tennessee home after her owner moved her away and left her behind. She's looking for a fur-ever home that will give her all the love she deserves! She might even give you gift cards to Ruby Tuesdays if you can find one in your area!

Did you know the Rolling Stones wrote a song about Ruby called "Who could hang a name on you?" And truly, no one comes close to this girl! Ruby is a sweet, easygoing mature girl who loves the simple things in life. We're talking nice walks, cozy naps, and, of course, Beggin’ Strips! Ruby is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs, but wouldn’t mind being your one-and-only either. What can she say? She loves the attention. Ruby would do great kids but we don't know if she's met cats. Tuesday is also her favorite day of the week! We don't know why, but we listen and don't judge.

If you're looking for an easier dog who doesn’t have puppy tendencies, Ruby is your gal! She is a wonderful companion with lots of love to give. All she needs now is a family to share her walks, naps, treats, shareable restaurant apps and forever with!

The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
