This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Renata, a 2-year-old Border Collie / Heeler mix, weighing 35 pounds (as of 8/11/26). Found as a stray in Tennessee, Renata is looking forward to living the New England lifestyle! She even wrote her own bio:

"Hi! I'm Renata, a bundle of joy wrapped in fur. No really, don't question it. Every day, I wag my tail with excitement, hoping to share my love with a lucky person or family. I adore playing with my friends (dogs and strangers alike) and cuddling up for a cozy nap. My gentle nature makes me a perfect companion for peaceful afternoons sipping tea listening to smooth jazz, and my playful spirit is ready for any adventure. I'm full of energy and affection, eager to bring smiles and warmth to a loving home who'll have me! While I haven't met the kiddos yet, I've been exposed to cats. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
