This “lover boy” is incredibly people-focused and thrives on attention, affection, and being part of your daily life. Turk has a moderate energy level — he enjoys his walks and playtime, but also settles down nicely. One of his favorite pastimes is people-watching from the front window, taking in the world while staying close to home.

He is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Turk has excellent manners in the home and listens very well. He hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors and truly aims to please.

Turk loves people and does great with adults, including strangers. He’s friendly, affectionate, and eager to soak up all the love you’re willing to give.

When it comes to other animals, Turk has some specific preferences. He does well with small dogs and has enjoyed playing and running around with them.

However, larger dogs intimidate him, and he has not done well in those interactions. Because of this, Turk should be placed in a home with small dogs only or as the only dog.

Turk is not a good fit for a home with cats. He has a strong instinct to chase and will not be safe around them.

Turk may need a little extra time to decompress and settle into a new environment, so a patient adopter who can give him space and allow for slow introductions — especially with other animals — will be key to his success.
