Hi, my name is Casper! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Energetic, playful, a bit of a nervous nellie, goofy
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history with kids, but due to his nervous nature we are recommending dog-savvy kids ages 5+. Up to counselor's discretion. Initial introductions done at WHS to ensure it's a good match.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need slow and structured introductions to ensure everyone gets along
-Can Live with Dogs: Casper came to WHS with Cedar, another golden retriever who he was living with in his last home. Casper would likely be okay living with another dog again. Initial introductions done at WHS to ensure it's a good match.
-Can do Apartment Living: Ideally no. Casper is a nervous boy who would likely be overwhelmed by the unpredictability of an apartment setting. He would do best in a home with a yard.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required, but would be beneficial!
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter

Casper is a handsome golden retriever looking for his forever home! This sweet boy came to the shelter after his owner passed away, and as you can imagine he is having a tough time with the transition. Casper can be a bit nervous and would do best with a dog-experienced adopter who will be patient with him and take things nice and slow. Casper is going to benefit greatly from a predictable routine, consistent positive reinforcement based training, and lots of TLC. Like all goldens, Casper LOVES toys, food, and attention. His perfect home has a nice fenced yard where he can chase a ball, and lots of cozy spots where he can snuggle up with his person.
