Meet Handsome Stoick!

Stoick is a German Shepherd Australian Shepherd mix puppy — a high-energy, highly intelligent mix of two top-tier herding breeds with a big personality to match. True to his name inspired by Stoick the Vast from How to Train Your Dragon, this boy is bold, devoted, and full of heart.

Stoick is happiest by his peoples side and loves following his foster parents wherever they go. He's a devoted companion who likes to keep his humans in sight and be part of the action. He's also living with resident dogs in his foster home and does great with them.

With his intelligence and energy, Stoick will thrive with an active family who enjoys keeping both body and mind busy. Long walks, hikes, running, games, agility, training, and other adventures would be right up his alley. Puzzle toys and training games will also help keep his clever mind engaged.

He's making great progress with both crate training and house training. He isn't completely house trained yet, so his new family will need to continue with consistent routines and frequent opportunities to go outside. He's learning well and eager to please!

Stoick's ideal home will appreciate the unique needs of an intelligent, energetic herding dog and provide him with positive, consistent training, plenty of exercise, and lots of opportunities to be included in his family's adventures.

Stoick's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: his alter, a microchip, his rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.
