Leia - French Bulldog Dog for Adoption in Closter, New Jersey

Leia is a 7-year-old French Bulldog who is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She was surrendered to a veterinary office, where she is currently staying while she waits for her forever home. Leia is looking for an experienced dog owner who understands her big personality and can give her the love and attention she deserves. She would do best in an adult-only home with no other pets.

Here's what one of the kennel attendants who has been caring for Leia has to say about her:

"Diva is my middle name as I like to be the queen of the house and I'd be much happier being someone's one and only pup. I'm not up for sharing with other animals or young children because they take away from ME time! I may have a bit of an attitude, fitting only for a DIVA of course, but I do show my softer side and like to give kisses and sit in your lap for cuddles."

Leia may have a little sass, but she also has plenty of affection to give! She's just looking for the right person who will appreciate her personality and let her be the queen of her very own castle.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
