DESCRIPTION
Meet Dewey - Your Fetch-Loving, Couch-Cuddling Adventure Buddy!
Dewey is a 2.5-year-old, 49 lb Blue Heeler who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Louisiana-and he's been making the most of his second chance! He's full of playful energy, incredibly athletic, and lives for a good game of fetch. Watching him in action is a total joy!
At home, Dewey is well-behaved, neutered, fully housebroken, and knows when to wind down. He loves his couch time just as much as his playtime and can be trusted alone in the house for extended periods.
He's great with large dogs and all people, including kids, but would do best in a home without small dogs or other small animals. Dewey is up to date on all vet care and has started treatment for a mild case of heartworms-he's already well on his way to being fully healthy!
True to his Heeler roots, Dewey has that natural instinct to herd-he just wants everyone together! He's fantastic on a leash and makes an excellent hiking partner, always sticking close when given direction.
If you're looking for a loyal, active companion with a heart of gold and a love for adventure, Dewey might just be your perfect match!
