I’m 3 years old, 18 pounds, and a handsome purebred red Dachshund.

I'm already neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and crate trained.

I will travel from North California to Ridgefield, WA to live with my foster family also can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

I have absolutely NO understanding of personal space.

Seriously.

If you sit down, I’m coming to sit with you.

If you get up and walk to the kitchen, I’m coming too.

Going to the bathroom?

Apparently WE are going to the bathroom.

Going to another room for 30 seconds?

Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you don’t have to make that dangerous journey alone.

I’m a Dachshund.

We call this love.

My rescue family calls me a “clinger” or a “Velcro dog.”

I prefer the term extremely devoted companion.

The truth is, I just really love my people.

I’m happiest when I’m close to you—curled up beside you, following you around the house, playing with you, or simply keeping you company while you go about your day.

I love people.

I love having fun.

I love being part of whatever you’re doing.

And once I decide you’re my person, congratulations...

You now have an 18-pound red shadow.

I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and completely ready for my forever home.

My bags are packed.

Although, honestly, I don’t need to bring much.

Just me, my little Dachshund legs, my big personality, and a whole lot of love.

What I’m really looking for is someone who wants a true companion.

Someone who doesn’t just want a dog living in their house, but wants a best friend living their life right beside them.

I want to know your routines.

I want to follow you from room to room.

I want to be there when you wake up and curl up beside you when the day is over.

I want to be included in the boring days, the fun days, the adventures, the lazy Sundays, and everything in between.

Because to me, it doesn’t really matter what we’re doing.

If I’m doing it with my person, I’m happy.

So maybe you’ve been thinking you need a little more love in your life.

Maybe your lap has been feeling suspiciously empty.

Maybe you’ve been walking to the kitchen all by yourself and thinking...
