Some dogs you know everything about before they arrive. And then there's Leo — whose history is largely a mystery, but whose face (and frame) tells you everything you actually need to know. Look at that smile. That is not the smile of a dog who has given up on the world. That is the smile of a dog who is genuinely delighted to be in it.

Leo is a low-slung, long-bodied charmer — built like a dachshund, moves like a hound, and carries himself like he knows exactly how good he looks doing it. He's known to be warm with people and easy with other dogs — the kind of guy who walks into a new situation with his tongue out and his tail up, ready to make the best of it. Whatever his story has been up until now, he is arriving in [Destination] with his whole heart open.

He'll need some continued work on house training, leash manners, and basic obedience — which means his foster family gets a front row seat to his progress. Dachshunds and hounds are famously stubborn, clever, and full of personality, and Leo has the look of a dog who will surprise you. A little consistency, a little patience, and a lot of that smile coming back at you every single day.

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Negative for heartworm disease and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
