Meet Milky Way!

Milky Way is a 7 lb, 2-year-old tabby girl. She lives with 2 cats, a kitten, and a small, friendly dog. Milky Way is a friendly, affectionate, and very active indoor-only cat. She enjoys spending her time in the living room and by the window. She plays with toys by chasing and pouncing on them and enjoys a good game of hide and seek. Milky Way enjoys cardboard and rough rope surfaces to scratch on and was previously on a wet/dry food diet with no particular brand. She had access to 3 litter boxes in the apartment, all of which were covered with unscented clumping litter.

Milky Way has a young kitten and has been a responsible mom. Because of her daughter's age, she is staying near or in a crate almost 24-7, except for hunting and litter box time. She gets alerted when animals or new humans come close to her kitten, yet allows pets from her foster mom and all the guests on her term. Sky loves churu, sunshine, her daughter, and small toys that she can pounce on. She shows her trust and affection daily through slow blinks.

She's looking for a calm, patient home that will respect her boundaries and give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. She'd be a great match for someone who enjoys quiet companionship without constant affection—she's not demanding and prefers to connect on her own terms. With a slow introduction, she can do well with older kids and friendly cats or calm dogs. Once she feels safe, she'll gently share your space without overwhelming you.

Milky Way is up to date on shots, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped, and will need to be spayed.

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
