Meet Kaya

We are not her favorite demographic. And honestly... at 1112, can we really blame her? She's perfectly happy with canine companions who understand personal space and appropriate behavior.

She is house trained, uses a dog door, and is wonderfully quiet. Her ideal evening probably involves a comfortable bed, some yummy snacks, and being near her people.

But Kaya isn't ready to become a couch ornament just yet! She loves going for walks and riding in the car, so she's happy to get out and about with her family. She is also good with respectful children.

Kaya is the kind of senior dog who reminds you that getting older doesn't mean life gets boring. She's healthy, interactive, affectionate, and still interested in whatever adventure might be happening next.

What she needs now is pretty simple: a loving home, a comfortable bed, some snacks, a few walks, and someone who thinks an older dog deserves to be someone's first choice.

And if that home happens to have room for Nelly too? Even better.

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption.
