Charlie - Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Austin, Texas

Charlie’s former owner passed away, and he was taken to a shelter we help. He was going to be euthanized, because the shelter was full. We were able to save him, because one of our awesome fosters agreed to take care of him. Charlie has shown us that he’s a sweet little boy that will be a great addition to his new family. We hope he’ll get adopted soon and be loved forever.

Charlie is a social boy, and will make friends with anyone he meets. He is in a foster home with an 8 year old child, and he is wonderful with her. He is leash trained and house trained. He does great with other dogs and wants to play with the cats at his foster home too.

Charlie is 6 years old and weighs 24 pounds. He’s a Dachshund mix. He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
