Meet Pearl! Pearl is a 2 year old female corgi and she weighs about 22 pounds. Pearl arrived in rescue after being surrendered from a home with to many dogs that could not care for them. She did arrive heartworm positive, but has been treated and is doing great! She has settled into foster care and is starting to thrive and is ready for a forever home. Her foster mom says: Sometimes a dog comes along who doesn’t need a lot. She doesn’t need a house full of people. She doesn’t need a million toys. She doesn’t need constant entertainment. She just needs her person. Meet Pearl. Pearl is the kind of girl who quietly works her way into your heart until you can’t imagine the room without her in it. She is sweet, loving, incredibly easygoing, and absolutely devoted to her people. She is a fabulous family dog who loves everyone she meets. But Pearl has a little bit of a “you’re MY person” personality- she can become protective of her people around other dogs, which is why we truly believe she would shine brightest as the only dog in her forever home. She wants to be the dog who curls up next to you on the couch under a blanket. The dog who follows you around the house just to be near you. The dog who lays beside your desk while you work. The dog who looks up at you with those eyes that somehow say, “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.”
Pearl is also 1000000% crate trained. Open the crate, say “Come on,” and she happily hops right in. No fuss. She walks beautifully on a leash and harness and loves her neighborhood walks. If you have a screened in porch to chill with her on she would love it as sun bathing is top priority on her list. She isn’t a big barker, but she will absolutely let you know when someone comes through the door with a little “woof.” And when she decides she needs some attention? She’ll dramatically flop onto her back for belly rubs. Because obviously. Then there are her “good morning stretchies.” Every morning, Pearl stretches herself out and makes the sweetest little sound — what I lovingly call her coo. It’s one of those tiny, everyday Pearl things that you don’t realize you’re going to miss until you can’t imagine your morning without it. She is happiest with the simple things. A soft blanket. A cozy couch. A good bone. Her person nearby. I work from home, and Pearl has been the sweetest little office companion. She curls up on the dog bed beside my desk and peacefully snoozes while I work. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention every second. She just wants to know her person is there.
Pearl eats her food well and is now enjoying being out of her crate full-time after completing her heartworm treatment. Watching her settle in, relax, and simply enjoy being a dog has been so incredibly rewarding. And now comes the hard part. Because Pearl is ready. She is ready to leave her foster home and find the person who will look at her and know she’s the one for them. She deserves a forever family who will love her little morning stretchies. Who will laugh when she flops over for belly rubs. Who will tuck her under a blanket on the couch. Who will take her for neighborhood walks. Who will appreciate that she doesn’t need much — just love, companionship, and a safe place to call home. Pearl has spent enough time waiting. Now she needs someone to choose her. Could you be Pearl’s forever? Because somewhere out there is the person she has been waiting for. And I have a feeling Pearl is going to love them with her whole heart.

Pearl is spayed, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.
