Meet Monty! Monty is a 4-5 year old male corgi and he weighs about 21 pounds. Monty arrived in rescue after coming from a home with too many pups that could no longer care for him. He has settled into foster care nicely and his foster mom says: Monty is a gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new faces. Once he knows he is safe, his timid nature melts away into pure devotion. He absolutely loves to play with toys and will happily show off his favorite playthings once he gets comfortable. When playtime is over, Monty is a certified cuddle bug who will happily sit by your side for hours. If you offer him head scratches, you will make a best friend for life. He is doing well with his crate, though he just needs a little extra encouragement or a tasty treat to hop inside. Monty is a work in progress and is still working on his potty training, so he will need a patient family who can keep him on a consistent schedule to prevent accidents. Because he is also still learning leash manners and can be easily startled, a secure, fenced yard would be perfect for his routine. He will thrive in a quiet, understanding environment where he can soak up all the love, playtime, and reassurance he deserves..

Monty is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned.
