Meet Guinness!
18 Weeks Old Chocolate Cocker Spaniel Male Professional Heartbreaker in Training!
Some puppies are born with a silver spoon. Guinness was born with a very different future planned for him. Thankfully, fate intervened!
Meet Guinness, an absolutely adorable 18-week-old chocolate Cocker Spaniel puppy with soulful eyes, ridiculously fluffy ears, and a face that could convince you to hand over your last bite of dinner without a second thought!
Guinness is the son of Colby, another beautiful Cocker Spaniel in our rescue. Both boys came from a breeder, but their stories could have had very different endings.
Guinness was originally destined to be sold to another breeder, where he likely would have spent his life much like his father did — confined to a kennel, without the love and companionship of a family, and valued primarily for the puppies he could produce.
But at the last minute, the buyer backed out.
And just like that, Guinness won the puppy lottery!
Instead of spending his life producing puppies, Guinness now gets to spend it BEING someone’s beloved puppy!
He’s currently living in a wonderful foster home alongside his dad, Colby, where he’s discovering that life outside a kennel is actually pretty fantastic!
Guinness is learning all the important skills that every young gentleman should master. He’s working on potty training, getting acquainted with walking on a leash, and learning the ins and outs of living in a home.
He’s also discovered toys, backyard adventures, and the wonderful world of being loved simply because he’s adorable and deserves it!
At just 18 weeks old, Guinness is still very much a puppy. That means his future family should be prepared for all the usual puppy shenanigans — continued potty training, chewing, exploring, learning boundaries, and the occasional questionable decision involving something that probably shouldn’t be in his mouth.
Guinness needs a family who understands that puppies don’t arrive fully trained and that raising a wonderful adult dog takes patience, consistency, socialization, and plenty of positive reinforcement.
He was recently neutered and vaccinated and will soon be ready to begin the next chapter of his life.
Our dream home for Guinness is one where he will be a cherished family member, included in everyday life, given plenty of opportunities to play and explore, and provided with the guidance and affection he needs to grow into a confident, happy adult dog.
And let’s not forget — Cocker Spaniels come with those gorgeous, luxurious coats! His future family should be prepared for regular brushing and grooming to keep those fabulous locks looking their best.
Guinness has already escaped the life that was planned for him. Now all he needs is someone to give him the life he deserves.
He wasn’t meant to spend his life making puppies. He was meant to spend his life making memories!
If you’re looking for a beautiful little companion to love, teach, spoil, and grow old with, Guinness just might be your perfect match!
