Meet Dilly Bean!

Dilly came into the care of HSCC when her guardians were no longer able to care for her. While this sweet muppet was pretty nervous and shut down when she first got to the shelter, with some TLC, she's shown us a side of Dilly Bean that staff and volunteers have become quite fond of. Despite her age (8 years young!), Dilly is a spunky and playful companion, who has a secret mischievous side. She enjoys being an office companion (and perching on laps to ensure that all computer work is done correctly), going for long walks outside in the sunshine, and spending time with her favorite people.

It can take a little while to win Dilly's heart, but once she opens up, she is sweet as can be. With new people, she is a little reserved, and prefers to observe them from a safe location before interacting. Once she's had the chance to work up some bravery (hot dogs never hurt), she is a jumpy, wiggly little string bean, and can't get enough loving. Dilly can be a little sensitive about having her ears and neck touched, so it's important that her adoptive home is able and willing to respect her boundaries and consent, to ensure that she's always feeling safe in her interactions with the world.

Dogs: Dilly Bean has been dog social while in our care, and would enjoy sharing her home with a canine companion that has a similar play style and size.
Cats: Dilly Bean has no known history with cats.
Kids: Dilly Bean has lived with children and done well. Due to her size and sensitive nature, she might do best in a home with older children who can respect her boundaries.
