Dora the Explorer, and Beauty are adorable 3-year-old Chihuahua mixes who are looking for a forever home together. These two little girls are full of personality, playful antics, and love—and they truly are better together!

Dora and Beauty get along wonderfully with their foster family’s two older male dogs, but their favorite playmate is definitely each other! They love to rough and tumble, chasing and wrestling around the house while taking turns being the boss and then happily switching roles. Their playful relationship is absolutely precious to watch!

The girls are also wonderful at keeping each other entertained. Give them some simple toys and they will exercise themselves with a good old-fashioned play session! They are incredibly playful and have so much fun together that their foster parents get plenty of entertainment just watching them.

And these two have personalities that will keep you smiling!

Dora is a hilarious little four-legged fly catcher! She keeps a close eye on the kitchen window, and whenever a fly dares to enter her airspace, Dora jumps up and down trying her very best to catch it.

Beauty is the affectionate one—a sweet, kissy, huggy little girl who loves being involved in everything her people do. She is always ready to "help" with cooking, cleaning, and even loading and unloading the dishwasher! She clearly believes every household chore is much more fun with a Chihuahua assistant.

Both girls are wonderful around food and have no food aggression. Mealtime is a happy occasion for everyone, with their boiled fat-free chicken tenders, dry kibble, and even a little Gerber chicken baby food mixed in. And of course, everyone agrees that treats are always a great idea!

Dora and Beauty are also wonderfully vigilant on Mondays and Thursdays—because those are garbage-truck days! When the garbage truck arrives, these little girls are ready for action and may dash out to the curb to "steal" the garbage before it gets taken away. Their antics are just part of the charm of these fun-loving little characters.

Most importantly, Dora and Beauty are a bonded pair who truly enjoy having each other. They play together, entertain each other, and provide companionship for one another. Adopting them together would not only keep their special friendship intact, but would also make the transition into their new home easier because they always have their best friend by their side.

The girls are currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to anywhere in the States or even Canada to the right home.

Yards must be fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept invisible or underground fences.

Their adoption fee of $400 each includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. Out of state Transport cost, including an interstate health certificate can range from $200 - $350 total, depending on the location.

Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.

Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
