Meet Dorito — a little shy at first, but worth opening the bag for!

Dorito and her siblings were born at the shelter after their mom was found tied to a pole. Thankfully, Mama was brought to safety before giving birth. She’s a petite Chihuahua weighing around 10 pounds. As for Dad? Apparently he preferred to remain anonymous, so we aren’t sure what Dorito’s mix might be.

Dorito is the more reserved chip in the bag. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her some time to feel comfortable and her sweet personality begins to come through. She enjoys playing with toys and her siblings, but she’s also a big fan of being picked up, held, and loved on.

Like any young puppy, Dorito is still learning how to be the very best girl. She’ll need a family committed to continuing her potty training, leash skills, socialization, and basic manners as she grows.

Dorito may need a minute to warm up, but once she does, you’ll understand why you can never have just one little Dorito snuggle. Dorito was born in July 2026 and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
