Meet Chive!

Chive is a handsome brown tabby with soft, medium-length fur and a thoughtful, observant personality. He’s the kind of kitten who likes to take his time, sitting back and watching his brothers before deciding whether the latest adventure is worth joining. Once he gives it the green light, though, he’s all in—jumping into the action with enthusiasm and quickly becoming part of the fun.

Gentle and sweet-natured, Chive is a wonderful little companion. He enjoys batting at toys, exploring his surroundings, and, when he’s ready to recharge, climbing right up into his human’s lap for a cozy nap. His charming mix of curiosity and caution makes every new discovery especially endearing. He may take a moment to assess something new, but once he feels comfortable, his playful personality shines.

Chive has always had the companionship of his brothers and truly thrives with feline friends by his side. For that reason, he must be adopted with one of his brothers or into a home with a friendly, playful resident cat. While Chive is okay with dogs, he would be happiest in a feline-only home where he can enjoy the company of other cats without the hustle and bustle of a canine companion.

Chive is looking for an indoor-only home where he can continue building his confidence while enjoying a lifetime of love, companionship, and security. He must never be declawed.

Chive was born in April 2026 and is currently fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.

OUR CATS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All our cats are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our cats are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $250 plus transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes age appropriate, vaccinations, registered microchip, testing for FIV and FELV, and a fecal analysis. Cats will be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Cats will also be current on prevention. A health exam will be completed, and a certificate will be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.

Note: MNS reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care.
