Hi, I’m Benji! I’m a 4-year-old, 23-pound Chiweenie with a gentle soul, a sweet personality and so much love to give! I’m currently being fostered in Albion, Michigan, where I’m discovering just how wonderful life can be when you’re surrounded by people who care about you. When I first came into rescue, I had a pretty bad flea infestation that caused me to lose some of my fur. Thankfully, those pesky fleas are long gone and my beautiful coat is filling back in nicely! I’m feeling better every day and looking forward to finding a family who will love me for the wonderful little guy I am.

I’m an incredibly affectionate, mild-mannered boy with a nice medium to low energy level. I get along wonderfully with everyone and everything, and I’m just an all-around easygoing companion. I don’t need constant excitement or a packed schedule to be happy. Give me a comfy spot next to you, some gentle pets and a little love and I’ll be perfectly content to curl up and relax. I’m the kind of dog who makes a house feel like a home just by being there. I’m also currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which is being fully covered by the rescue at no cost to my adopter. Once that’s behind me, I’ll be ready to enjoy all the good things life has waiting for me!

I’m fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. I’m a sweet, loving boy who doesn’t ask for much, just a soft place to land, someone to snuggle with and a family to call my own. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will happily curl up beside you and love you with his whole heart, I might just be your guy!
