Alfalfa - Pointer and Hound Dog for Adoption in Foley, Alabama

Hi, I’m Alfalfa! I’m a 9-month-old, 40 pound Pointer/Hound mix with a gentle heart and a pretty incredible story. I’ve spent almost my entire life in a shelter, arriving when I was just three days old. After nine long months of waiting, I finally made it into rescue and now I’m ready to experience what having a home and family of my own is all about.

I’m a sweet, loving boy with a wonderful medium-to-low energy level. I’m fantastic with other dogs and I’m actually the dog the rescue trusts to help test new dogs because I’m so good with them! Since I’ve never lived in a home, everyday things that most dogs take for granted may be brand new to me. I’ll need a patient family willing to show me the ropes and give me a little time to adjust. I’ve waited my whole life for this chance and I have so much love to give. I can also be cat tested upon request.

I’ll come fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and microchipped. After growing up in a shelter, I think it’s finally my turn to find out just how good life can be.
