Meet Jordy - The Little Shadow with a Big Personality

Where you go, Jordy goes.

This sweet, goofy boy is a true Velcro dog who believes life is simply better when he's right beside his people. Get up from the couch? Jordy's coming. Sit back down? He's already finding the perfect spot to squeeze himself beside you.

He's gentle, easygoing, cuddly, and just adventurous enough to keep life interesting. And when Jordy gets excited-which happens pretty often-he has his own signature celebration:

He spins in circles.

His foster says watching him can make you dizzy, but somehow Jordy keeps his balance just fine!

Jordy Loves:

-Being with his people
-Walks
-Running
-Sniffing and exploring
-Cuddling
-Napping
-Watching TV with his family
-Sunbathing
-Following his people everywhere

Jordy's Favorite Thing:

His people. No question.

Jordy wants to be part of whatever you're doing.

His foster describes him as a little guard dog with an amazing personality. He isn't necessarily asking you to entertain him-he simply wants to be near you.

When it's time to relax, Jordy finds whatever space is available, snuggles in, and rests beside his person.

Sweet, Chill & Just a Little Bit Goofy

Jordy has a nice medium energy level.

He's happy heading outside for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or joining his family for an adventure. When the activity is over, he's perfectly content settling in for some serious couch time.

He's immediately friendly with people, although his excitement may come with some jumping, barking, and-naturally-a few celebratory spins.

Jordy can also be timid about things he doesn't understand. Unfamiliar environments and loud noises may make him nervous, so he'll benefit from someone who gives him a moment to investigate rather than pushing him forward.

And sometimes the scary thing turns out to be...a buffalo.

The Great Buffalo Incident

During a morning walk, Jordy suddenly stopped.

His hair went up, he became incredibly skittish, and he absolutely refused to continue. His foster couldn't figure out what had happened. There wasn't another person or animal anywhere around.

Then they spotted it.

The Mini Buffalo Statue outside the school.

Jordy was terrified.

After a minute and some proper introductions, Jordy determined that the buffalo was apparently trustworthy after all.

Crisis resolved. New friend acquired. Walk continued.

That's Jordy: sensitive enough to be suspicious of a miniature buffalo, curious enough to investigate it, and resilient enough to carry on once he realizes everything is okay.

Meet & Greet Availability:
Jordy's foster is willing to meet within an hour of Alma, WI.

Jordy came into rescue as an owner surrender, and now he's looking for a family he can attach himself to for good.

He doesn't need life to be complicated. Give him some adventures, a little patience when something makes him nervous, another friendly dog if you have one, and plenty of room beside you on the couch.

In return, you'll get a goofy little companion who celebrates happiness by spinning in circles, follows you from room to room, and will always make sure you never have to watch TV alone.

Just remember to properly introduce him to any buffalo statues in the neighborhood.
