Maggie is a 1.5-year-old, 47-pound Catahoula mix with a gentle soul, a playful spirit, and SO much love to give! This beautiful girl may be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she transforms into the biggest love bug!

Maggie is the perfect blend of playful and laid-back. She absolutely LOVES other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with, but she’s equally happy curling up beside her favorite humans for a cozy nap. She has a wonderful medium-energy personality, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys a little activity followed by plenty of relaxation!

Once Maggie builds trust with you, her affectionate personality really shines. She’s a total snuggle bug who loves being close to her people and soaking up all the love she can get!

At 1.5 years old, Maggie is past the youngest puppy stages and already has some fantastic manners! She’s potty trained, crate trained, and great on leash, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog who’s ready to settle into family life.

Maggie is heartworm positive but has already received treatment!

Maggie hasn’t been around children or cats in her foster home, so we can’t say for certain how she’d do with them. However, we believe she could do wonderfully with older, respectful children who understand the importance of giving a shy dog time and space to feel comfortable. Her compatibility with cats is still unknown.

Maggie would thrive with a patient, loving family who will give her a little time to settle in and show her true personality. She’d especially enjoy a home where she can spend time playing with other dogs, enjoy some daily activity, and then curl up with her favorite people for plenty of snuggles.
