Nick - Carolina Dog Dog for Adoption in Wake Forest, North Carolina

Just about like the best Christmas present you will ever get, Nick is on site and he may not exactly be a Saint but he sure is wonderful even without the wrapping paper! A young adult Carolina dog mix, Nick weighs about 29 lbs and may have some room to still grow. He is still a bit of puppy but with some sense and manners but a whole lot of energy and love of some attention. Nick loves the other dogs, loves the volunteers and loves being in the mix of things. He would settle well into most homes and would either love a doggo friend or would love to be the center of all of your attention. A boy who does well in his crate and cannot wait to get out of it to be with you. Can't beat that!

The Carolina Dog, a primitive breed known for its wild ancestry, is a medium sized, agile, and intelligent dog originally found roaming freely in the Southeastern United States. With a distinctive appearance marked by erect ears, a bushy tail, and a sable coat, Carolina Dogs are highly adaptable, affectionate with their families, and wary of strangers, making them excellent watchdogs. Their natural hunting instincts and independence require consistent training and an active lifestyle to thrive in a loving home environment.
