This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $500 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits-such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds-help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible!

Say hello to Erica, an adorable young Yorkie mix weighing just 8 pounds, with a bouncy personality and a whole lot of love to give! This sweet little girl loves to play, go for walks, and snuggle up with her favorite person. She seems to be potty trained given regular potty breaks.

Erica enjoys her walks and is always ready for a little adventure. She is still working on her leash manners, especially not pulling, but she is making her way toward becoming the perfect walking buddy. She also has a soft spot for little bones and would be happy to show you just how cute she can be when treats are involved!

Her perfect family should be patient and give her time to learn the routine in her new home, as she is a velcro pup who doesn't like to be without her people. She would much prefer a bed instead of a crate. Her ideal family will be home much of the day and able to give her the time, patience, and reassurance she needs.

Erica was friendly with fosters Golden Retriever, but would likely be happy as the only dog, where she can enjoy being the center of her person's world.
