Meet Netflix: Your Loyal, Quirky Little Sidekick
Netflix is a 10 month old Brussels Griffon/Affenpinscher mix weighing 18 lbs with a big personality packed into a small, scruffy body. Equal parts hilarious, affectionate, and spirited, he’s the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, keep you company, and keep you on your toes— in the best way.
A Day in the Life
Netflix starts his weekdays on a relaxed note. While his person is up at 6 am, he prefers to linger in bed a bit longer before easing into his day. Breakfast is served around 7:00–7:15 am, followed by a morning walk between 7:30–7:45.
During the workday, Netflix does great at home on his own. After a brief transition period in the kitchen, he now enjoys full access to the apartment— and aside from one balcony mishap early on, he’s proven himself to be reliably housetrained.
Afternoons are his time to shine. When his person gets home (usually between 4:30–5:30), they head out for a longer walk, often with a stop at the park. Afterward, it’s dinner, followed by playtime— his favorite part of the day. Rope toys, squeaky toys, tug-of-war... Netflix is all in. He wraps up his evening with a short nighttime walk before settling in close for the night.
Personality: Equal Parts Snuggler and Comedian
Netflix made quite the first impression— on day one, he refused food but enthusiastically stood on his back legs to peer out every window on the way up to the apartment. That curious, expressive nature is still very much part of who he is.
At home, he is deeply affectionate and thrives on connection. He’s the ultimate cuddle buddy, always wanting to be close— often with a paw resting on you, just to make sure you’re still there. At night, he’s happiest curled up right beside you. If you’ve been searching for a “little spoon,” Netflix is ready to apply for the job.
He can be a bit of a velcro dog, happily following you around and even joining your workouts (sometimes directly underneath you). He loves attention and will absolutely try to climb into your lap whenever the opportunity presents itself—boundaries are a work in progress.
Outside World: A Work in Progress
Netflix is still building confidence outside the home. New people and busy environments can make him anxious, and he may bark when passing others on walks or hearing noises near the apartment door. His foster has been proactively managing this by creating space and helping him feel more secure.
He’s also learning leash manners. While he does pull and has shown interest in chasing birds and squirrels, he’s already making progress with consistent guidance and redirection.
Play Style & Energy
Netflix is not a couch potato. Netflix has energy to burn and absolutely loves to play. He’s especially fond of squeaky toys (so much so that they get put away at night to avoid late-night concerts) and will happily entertain himself— or you— for hours.
Training & Habits
Netflix is housetrained and has free roam of the home. He’s not crate-trained but has done well with structure and routine. Like many young dogs, he can get a bit mischievous when bored— he’s been known to chew through a harness and even a seatbelt— so keeping him mentally and physically engaged is key.
He enjoys a variety of foods and treats, including chicken, eggs, yogurt, blueberries, and sweet potato-wrapped goodies. Mealtime is always a highlight.
Ideal Home
He would do best with someone who understands that he’s still learning about the world and is committed to continuing his training with patience and consistency. In return, you’ll get a deeply loyal, loving companion who just wants to be your person.
Netflix previously lived with another dog but is currently the only pet in the home. He's okay with either!
Why Netflix?
Because he’s the full package: funny, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. He may need a little guidance as he builds confidence, but he’s already shown how much love he has to give. With the right person, Netflix is going to absolutely shine.
And if you’re wondering— yes, by the end of the day, every single toy will somehow make its way back onto the floor. That’s just part of his charm.
