Who's ready to solve a puzzle? All the way from Tennessee, meet Joey Puzzle, an approx. 8-week-old Boxer / Basenji mix weighing 9 pounds (as of 9/19/26). His mom, Cali Momma Puzzle (pictured and adoptable) is a small King Charles mix and daddy is suspected to be a Boxer / Hound mix though we suspect Joey won't become as big as a normal boxer. The PUZZLE litter look NOTHING like their mama, but that's the fun of puzzles, it's all a mystery until it isn't!
Joey loves running around, playing and entertaining you with his silly antics. Don't be surprised if he starts to juggle! He's a fun-loving pup who's excited to see what New England is all about. His one request is that you do a puzzle with him everyday, he's got a whole collection!
The PUZZLE litter are very happy, social and friendly pups! We think they'd be great with children. They haven't met cats yet, but have lived with other dogs. They'll need your help with puppy training but the trade-off is they'll help you find that missing puzzle piece you lost under the couch. You can finally finish after 2 years of searching!
Once Joey is old enough and ready for adoption, he'll be neutered. Adopt this handsome boy today!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
