Something sweet is coming your way! Meet Huckleberry Jam, an 8.5-month-old Hound / Heeler mix, weighing 45 pounds (as of 8/27/26). The Jam brothers were strays in Tennessee, selling their homemade jellies and jams on the side of the road, but they're looking for a fur-ever business partner to take their empire to New England!

With his white coat and cute black ears, Huckleberry is as handsome as he is lovable. What else can we say about this boy? He's friendly, playful, and wonderfully easygoing. He gets along with people and all kinds of animals and simply enjoys being part of the fun. He’s got a sweet, gentle nature and plenty of puppy personality. And he really, really likes the kiddie pool! He deserves a little pampering after jamming jellies all day!

The Jam brothers live with other dogs at their fosters, greet every stranger with a complimentary jar of jam and love giving the kids a free sample too! Huckleberry hasn't been exposed to cats yet but fosters will soon be introducing him to 6 ferrets and a pigeon! That's a whole zoo! He's also got experience with leashes, crates, and is learning commands but will need help with house-training.

If you adopt Huckleberry now, he might even offer you 50% of his jam profits! Okay. Maybe it's 20%. You better negotiate fast 'cause he's going on Shark Tank soon!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Huckleberry Jam, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
