OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Backstory:
Meet Belle — a gentle, loyal soul whose whole world changed through no fault of her own. This beautiful brindle Boxer/Plott Hound mix found herself saying goodbye to the only home she knew when her beloved owner became too sick to care for her.

Despite the heartbreak, Belle has remained incredibly loving and trusting, greeting everyone she meets with quiet warmth and a soft, steady presence. Belle is the definition of an easy companion — house trained, crate trained, wonderful with people, kids, dogs, and even cats. With her low-to-medium energy, she’s just as happy going for a relaxed walk as she is curling up beside you. Now, all she needs is a safe, loving home to spend her golden years, where she can once again feel the comfort and security she so deeply deserves.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.

The Plott Hound, known for its striking brindle coat, is a devoted and fearless hunting dog with a rich history. Originating in North Carolina, this breed excels in tracking and treeing game, particularly wild boar and bears. The Plott Hound is renowned for its stamina, intelligence, and independence, making it an ideal companion for active individuals or families looking for a loyal and hardworking canine partner in a variety of outdoor activities.
