Meet Shiba, a gorgeous 1-year-old German Shepherd weighing 63 pounds. This beautiful girl's story began when she was found abandoned and tied to a gate. After being brought to ACCT Philly, she was quickly transferred to us.

Despite being left behind, Shiba hasn't lost her trust in people. In fact, she's an incredibly sweet, happy, and social young dog who loves interacting with her volunteers. This intelligent girl is curious about everything around her and approaches life with enthusiasm and excitement. Whether she's out on a walk, exploring new sights and smells, or learning something new, Shiba is always ready for the next adventure.

At just a year old, Shiba is still very much a youngster and has all the energy, intelligence, and drive that German Shepherds are known for. She's eager to please and loves spending time with her people, but she'll benefit from a family committed to continuing her training and helping her polish her basic manners. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, Shiba has all the makings of an exceptional companion.

Because of her breed and needs, Shiba is seeking a German Shepherd-experienced home that understands the commitment required to help a young shepherd thrive. She will do best with adopters who can provide daily exercise, mental enrichment, training, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family.
