**Please read Puck Skates's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**
Meet Puck Skates, a 6-week-old Black Lab mix, weighing 5 pounds and 13 oz (as of 4/13/26). This boy was born locally with the rest of his SKATES litter when their then-pregnant mom, Ella Mae Momma Skates, came to Great Dog from the South. Lucky for you, the Skates litter are actually famous athletes who can't wait to skate their way into your heart!
Puck or “Lucky Pucky" (as his foster kids like to call him) was born lucky number seven of his litter mates. He was also the first to open his eyes on St. Patrick’s Day! So if you happen to come across a pot of gold when you're holding this boy, be sure to thank him for the good fortune! Who needs a leprechaun when you've got a lucky dog! Puck is a playful fuzzball full of puppy antics who loves belly rubs and making the silliest faces. He might give you a cheeky wink with his bright blue eye. Puck’s got a beautiful coat of mostly black with a little white chest and cool speckled brown front paws. He’s the sweetest boy and he’s ready to play with you!
The Skates litter play well with other dogs and should be good with kids because of their teensy and sweet nature. They haven't met cats yet, but even felines recognize when they're in the presence of greatness! Since these pups are still young, they'll need love and patience with all things puppy training (potty, crates, leash, etc.) They can't wait to show you some skating tips 'cause it's too embarrassing watching you fall in the rink! Bring some of their puppy loving home today!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
