Meet Jetty, a 3-year-old American Fox Hound mix, weighing approx. 45-50 pounds (as of 5/13/26). After being abandoned by his humans—who tricked him into believing they were hunting together—he was left all alone in the Mississippi woods. When Jetty was finally found, he had a look of hopelessness and defeat, reflecting the trauma he had endured. Rescued from starvation, Jetty is now seeking a loving home where he can heal, thrive and get all the loving he deserves.
Ideal Home:
Jetty would do best in a calm, nurturing environment like when you go to the spa. He hasn't been exposed to children, so a home without young kids is ideal. However, older children who can understand and respect his boundaries may be suitable. His gentle nature makes him a perfect companion for those seeking a mellow pet to snuggle with or do yoga. He hasn't had experience with cats, but he does get along with other dogs.
Why Adopt Jetty?
Adopting Jetty means offering a second chance to a dog who has faced adversity and deserves love and security. His loyalty, gentle spirit, and capacity for affection will bring joy to the chaos life. And also look at his sweet eyes! They're adorable! Jetty will need patience as he learns how to walk on a leash. He does have experience being crated and as long as he's taken out regularly, he won’t have accidents.
MEDICAL DISCLOSURE: He was treated for heartworms in April 2026.
If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will love you to the ends of the earth, Jetty is your boy.
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
