Nova is a 2-year-old Bernedoodle weighing 61.5 pounds who is slowly learning that the world isn't such a scary place! This sweet girl is still adjusting to life in her foster home, but little by little, she's beginning to let her guard down and show her affectionate side.

Nova can be timid and easily startled by unexpected noises, so she will need a patient, understanding family willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. She is especially nervous around men and tends to feel more comfortable with women. Her future family will need to respect her boundaries and allow her to build trust at her own pace.

One of Nova's biggest accomplishments in foster care has been starting to seek out affection on her own! She's beginning to approach her foster family and ask for pets, which is a wonderful step forward for this shy girl. As she becomes more comfortable, her sweet personality is slowly starting to shine through.

Nova is also a smart girl who already knows a few things! She can sit, shake paws, and knows to do her potty business outside. Having some of these basics down is a great start as she continues adjusting to life in a home.

Nova would do best with a calm, predictable environment where she can settle into a routine and continue building her confidence. She isn't looking for someone to rush her into new experiences, but rather someone who will celebrate her little victories and help her understand that she's safe.
