Meet Sweet Senior Valentine

Looking for a loyal companion who asks for very little but gives a whole lot of love? Meet Valentine, a 12-year-old Beagle with a gentle soul, impeccable manners, and a heart as sweet as her name.

Valentine is fully house trained, enjoys a peaceful routine, and has mastered the art of retirement. She believes life is best enjoyed with a soft bed, a full belly, and someone nearby to love. Unlike many Beagles, she's perfectly content to keep all four paws on the floor. No couch surfing or bed hogging here—she'd much rather curl up on her own cozy dog bed for a well-earned nap.

She enjoys short, leisurely walks where she can stop and sniff all the interesting smells, but she's truly a homebody. A warm, quiet home is her happy place.

Valentine is hard of hearing, so she experiences the world a little differently. She relies on her incredible Beagle nose and visual cues instead of sound. The good news? She's incredibly smart and very food motivated, making hand signals and positive reinforcement an easy way to communicate with her.

Don't worry—she has no trouble communicating with you! She'll let you know when she needs to go outside, and she has an internal dinner clock that's more accurate than most smartphones. If supper is running even a few minutes late, she'll happily remind you that punctuality is important.
