Ace - fostered in SE Nebraska, Humboldt (1.5 hours South of Omah - Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Overland Park, Kansas

Handsome Ace is a 3 yr old, 48 lb, long haired border collie. And we do know he's not a fan of cows. He came to us from a farmer who was disgusted with him. While out with cows to help herd them, he turned tail and ran. So Ace joined our rescue which we somedays call Bassets, Beagles and "Beyond"!

Ace previously lived with a 3 yr old child and was fine with him , but as border collies have quite a bit of enthusiasm and energy was a bit much for the family to handle. He will do best with an active family who would like a companion by their side.

Ace walks acceptably on a leash, and gets along with other dogs in his foster home. He has bright, intelligent eyes, an athletic build, and is happy and eager to please. Ace is learning the ropes of the house, making good progess with potty training and learning to use a doggie door. He is not crate trained yet, but he's smart and will continue to blossom with consistency and positve training.

Ace needs a makeover, his hair is long and fluffy, and he will be getting a summer groom soon.

Ace is neutered, has had his teeth cleaned, is up to date on vaccinations, and is chipped, and on a monthly hw preventative. He is fostered in Humboldt NE, adoption fee is $350. Please apply for him at bassetandbeagle.org. What a doll he is!!
