Meet Chet: The Rootin' Tootin' Snuggle Bandit

Howdy, partner! The name's Chet, and I'm a 1-year-old Beagle/Boxer mix looking for a forever homestead to call my own. At around 30 pounds, I'm the perfect size: big enough for adventures, small enough to fit right into your lap (whether you invited me there or not).

I came into rescue with my brothers through no fault of our own, but it's clear I've known love before—and I'm more than ready to share all of mine with you. I'm potty trained, kennel trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. Basically, I've got all my paperwork in order and am ready to ride off into the sunset with my new family.

Now, let's talk about these good looks. Beneath my rootin'-tootin' cowboy gear are the cutest little Boxer crinkle ears you've ever seen. They're always perked up and on duty, whether I'm supervising backyard bird activity or keeping tabs on suspicious neighborhood noises. I notice everything—which means I'm a smart cookie! I could use a little help polishing up my basic commands, but I'm extremely treat-motivated and eager to learn. (Just show me the snacks and watch me work.)

As for my build, well, let's just say I'm built a little differently. With my long body and adorably short legs, my foster mom suspects there may be a dash of Basset Hound in my family tree. Whatever the recipe, the result is 100% irresistible.

I get along great with other dogs and haven't lived with kids in my foster home, but my foster mom thinks I'd do just fine with little humans because I'm such a friendly, happy-go-lucky guy.

My favorite hobby? Snuggling. And when I say snuggling, I mean full-contact snuggling. I believe personal space is more of a suggestion than a rule. If you're sitting, I'm sitting on you. If you're lying down, I'm lying next to you. If you're unavailable, I suppose I can settle for the couch—but honestly, I'd much rather be plastered right against my favorite person.
