Meet Blue, a 3-year-old Beagle mix weighing 32 pounds with a heart as sweet as can be. This lovable boy has a gentle, friendly nature and is always ready to share his affection with the people around him. With his soft eyes and easygoing personality, Blue is the kind of dog who quickly becomes a favorite.

Blue loves to explore the world the best way he knows how, nose to the ground, taking in every interesting scent along the way. He already knows how to sit, showing off his good boy manners and willingness to learn.

He gets along well with kids and other dogs, making him a great companion for a family or a home with another friendly pup. Whether he is out exploring or relaxing by your side, Blue is a sweet and loyal companion who is ready to bring love, curiosity, and plenty of tail wags into his forever home. 🐶💙✨

Blue is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Blue originated from, upon rescue, he tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Blue has completed hisHeartworm treatment.

It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
