Cass is a 4.5 year old blue merle male Australian Shepherd weighing about 70 lbs. He is a gentle, sweet boy who can be a little reserved and cautious at first, but with a little patience his affectionate and loyal personality shines through.

Cass is a gentle soul with a calm, thoughtful personality. Cass is a very observant guy and prefers a quieter environment where things aren't too loud or fast-moving. With kindness and consistency, Cass continues to come out of his shell and show what a loving and loyal companion he can be.

Cass is crate trained, but has such wonderful house manners, that a crate isn't needed. He is house trained and uses the bell for notifications to his foster home that he needs to be let out. He has done well for car rides and grooming, bathing, brushing.

Cass gets along with other dogs of all sizes. Cass loves to run and play with other dogs. He is in a foster home with another male aussie. He would also be fine being your one and only too! He has not been tested with cats. Given his love of a quieter environment, we recommend a home with children over 12 years of age. We also suggest a physically fenced yard. If you're looking for a devoted dog who just needs a little understanding and encouragement, Cass may be the perfect one for you.

Cass is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.
