MEET GAUGE!

Gauge is ready to find his forever home! This handsome 5-month-old Shepherd mix is a happy, fun-loving pup who currently weighs about 45 lbs. He is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN.

If you're looking for a loyal new best friend, Gauge just might be your guy! He absolutely loves attention and being with his people. A home where his family is around more often than not would be ideal, because Gauge is happiest when he can be part of whatever you're doing.

Gauge is smart, eager to please, and learning more every day. He is completely housebroken and is adjusting beautifully to walking on a leash. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having a canine playmate. A fur brother or sister would be a big plus! He enjoys a good game of chase around the backyard, but when playtime is over, he settles nicely inside.

And cats? No problem! Gauge lives with cats in his foster home and doesn't chase or bother them.

Crate training is still a work in progress. Gauge will willingly go into his crate for a treat, but he'll definitely let you know he would rather be wherever his people are! His foster family is working with him patiently and consistently. He is crated at bedtime and when no one is home. He may bark for a short time at first, but he does settle down.

Gauge is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has been started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

This sweet, social boy has so much love to give and is ready for a family to call his own.
