Sammy is a sweet and gentle boy who is timid with new people, but is a loving dog who bonds very closely to his family and wants nothing more than to be with you.
Sammy was found abandoned with his best buddy Rocky at the rescue one day and was taken in. We would absolutely love someone to consider adopting both boys, they are the best of friends, but we are OK for them to find their own loving families.
Sammy loves toys and bones and spends his days running and playing with all the dogs at the Rescue. Not a drop of aggression in this sweet boy! Sammy is housebroken at Wags but like any rescue pup will likely need some training as he adjusts to a new home. Sammy will need a little time to adjust to a new home since he is shy with new people. But he is worth the effort!
Sammy has a beautiful long brown and black coat. He has been neutered and vaccinated and is a healthy boy. Sammy will make a wonderful member of the family.

A little about Wags and adoption fees: The woman who runs Wags takes care of almost 200 dogs completely on her own, she finds stray dogs constantly and find it impossible to turn them away.
Wags is a licensed nonprofit, a 501 C3. Adoption fees are the only source of funding for Wags and help pay for the vaccines, microchip spay/neuter and the transport from Mississippi for the lucky dogs who get posted for adoption and fine loving homes. What little is left after those expenses helps pay for food and vet care for all the other dogs and of course, the multitude of other expenses that come from running a rescue.
Almost all of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. Sometimes were able to bring up dogs into a foster home in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
