Furricane aka Farrah (20260814-04)
DOB: 01/31/2023 Estimated
Age: 3 years
Weight: 31-40 lbs

Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Furricane aka Farrah has been through more than most dogs her age - and somehow, she still chooses love.

Farrah was found as a stray and brought into a local shelter. In that stressful environment, this playful, friendly girl developed barrier reactivity. Shortly after coming into rescue, we discovered she also had tetanus. She received treatment and is now healthy, but the experience understandably set her training back a little.

Today, Farrah is ready to turn the page.

She is an incredibly smart, loving and playful girl who simply needs someone willing to understand her. She can be shy and insecure when she first meets you, but once she trusts you, something beautiful happens—she looks to her person for guidance and wants to be with you every step of the way.

And we mean every step. Farrah loves to watch what youre doing and follow you around the house. She always needs to know whats going on! She wants to be involved in life with her people and would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys having a dog by their side.

Farrah has strong herding instincts and needs daily exercise, play and mental stimulation. She LOVES fetch and has even been known to throw the toy herself! She also loves to jump and would thrive with an active person who wants to incorporate athletic play, training or fun activities into their routine.

She already knows Sit, Down and Place and is working on increasing duration, distance and distractions. She walks well on leash and absolutely enjoys the freedom of a long line. She can play with other dogs with proper introductions, but at the end of the day, Farrah would much rather be getting attention from her people.

She does best with an experienced handler who understands that she needs patience, consistency, clear boundaries and a guiding hand. She is smart and eager to learn—but she will absolutely test a new handler to see what she can get away with! Once she understands your expectations, she settles beautifully and looks to you for direction.

Farrah isnt looking for a perfect person. Shes looking for her person—someone who will give her the time and patience to feel safe, communicate clearly with her, and show her that she doesnt have to navigate the world alone.

After a day of play and adventure, this athletic girl is more than happy to curl up on the couch beside you and simply be close.

Farrah has already survived the hard part. Now she just needs someone to believe in her.

If youre looking for a smart, loyal, active companion who will follow you everywhere, keep you entertained, and love you fiercely once you earn her trust, Farrah may be your girl.
