Sally - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Lafayette, Colorado

Sally is a gorgeous girl with a tender heart. If her unique red markings and gray-green eyes don't charm you, her gentle spirit might. This long-limbed beauty currently has the coordination of a newborn colt but once she grows into her legs we expect she will run like a gazelle.

Sally has a sweet, submissive personality and gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats. She loves people, too, but can be tentative when meeting new friends. Once she knows you mean her no harm, she will wiggle and crawl into your lap and heart. She wants desperately to please and learns incredibly quickly. She also loves a good cuddle and it's a joy to caress her shiny soft coat. At this point, Sally is fairly chill but we expect as she gains confidence, her desire to romp will increase.

Sally needs an adopter with the time, willingness, and patience to show her that her world is now safe. Although another dog in the home isn't necessary, she would thrive with a confident canine buddy. But no apartments or condos with shared walls for this girl. She is still learning how to be alone and may bark.
