Prissy - Husky Dog for Adoption in Lafayette, Colorado

Prissy is a sweet gal that is everyone's best friend!

She loves chasing toys, leaves, and her fosters around. She loves to snuggle up with her people on the couch or nearby on a dog bed with a good toy! Prissy is potty trained, is learning about kennel training, and is going a great job!

We've been working on exposing her to all sorts of new things. So far, she's been introduced to: new people, kids, dogs, strollers, sprinklers, the vacuum, the dog pool, the doorbell, chickens, ducks, and car rides. She does great with the other dogs in her foster home and doesn't have overwhelming puppy energy! She happily coexists with both dogs without needing to play 24/7.

Prissy currently lives with a 7 month old (human baby), so she's used to the sights and sounds of a baby! She walks nicely next to the stroller on walks.

Prissy would be happy in a home with other pets or as the only one. She previously lived with a cat yet and was said to do well, but her current foster doesn't have any cats.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
