Smurf - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Lafayette, Colorado

Smurf is a goofy boy who thinks that everything exists to play with and love him. Doesnt matter the species, they are friends. He is super smart, close to housebroken at 9wks old and food motivated enough to try just about anything. He is learning to be quiet when put in his kennel overnight and its becoming a safe place for naps when the door is open too. Human laps are the best place to take a nap, and its hard to resist also chewing on the human but he is learning that humans aren't for mouthing.

Smurf was born without a paw on one of his front legs, but he walks and plays completely normally. Eventually a prosthetic foot could be beneficial to even out his legs and prevent early onset arthritis, but so far it's been recommended to wait until he is done growing. His foster mom has a contact who works in animal orthopedics and prosthetics for when he is ready to be fitted.

Smurf is estimated to be around 40-60lbs when full grown, but it is just a guess based on how he has been growing so far in foster. He is in Aurora CO and will go home neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.
