DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say Hello to Zoe!
Zoe is part goofball, part lovebug. Her favorite place to be is wherever her humans are, whether it's napping, going for a walk, doing zoomies at the dog park, or getting extensive belly rubs. She often gets the full-body wiggles and can almost always be found carrying a toy around. You can usually tell where she is from the sound of her constantly-wagging tail thumping on something. Zoe still has lots of puppy energy and loves to play, but is also content to spend most of her time relaxing by your side.
Zoe is a wonderful, affectionate pup who is house-trained and crate-trained. She went through an extensive obedience raining program and is trained on an e-collar as well as verbal commands. She is still learning loose leash walking and would benefit greatly from owners who will enforce some boundaries–even though it will be hard to do when she gives you those puppy-dog eyes!
Zoe gets along with other dogs outside the home and can attend doggy daycare, but she needs to be the only pet in the home because she is aggressive toward other dogs on her home turf. She is truly a people dog, and is great with children and adults. If you're looking for a cuddly companion who would also make a great activity buddy, Zoe will truly be your best friend. Apply today!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
