DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Dusty! Dusty's story started in a crowded Alabama shelter, where he, his three siblings, and their dad, Beau, found themselves waiting for a second chance. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers stepped in, and now this adorable little family is safe and ready to find their forever homes! Dusty has loved spending time in the puppy pile with his siblings, but what he really dreams of is having a family of his very own. Could that be you?
With dad Beau (pic included) weighing in at a compact 27 pounds, Dusty is expected to stay on the smaller side. He appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund/Hound mix—but one thing we know for certain is that he is 100% adorable! This sweet little guy is friendly, playful, and enjoys making new canine friends. Like any young puppy, he is curious about the world and ready to learn. He is at the perfect age for training, socialization, and bonding with his future family. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle companion, or a playful best friend, Dusty is eager to fill the role.
If you're ready to add puppy kisses, happy tail wags, and a lifetime of love to your home, Dusty is ready to meet you. Apply today and give this deserving little boy the forever home he's been waiting for!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
