DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Melody — a sweet little Shih Tzu who was rescued along with her siblings, Harmony and Major, when their elderly owner could no longer care for them. Though her world changed overnight, this resilient little girl has remained incredibly loving, friendly, and trusting.
Melody is the definition of mild-mannered. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely love having a canine companion. She also appears to be housebroken, which should make for an easy transition to a new home. All Melody needs now is a forever family who will give her the love and stability she deserves.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
